About the Exhibition

The Colonial Theater in downtown Idaho Falls will turn 100 in November 2019! The Idaho Falls Arts Council (IFAC) is planning a variety of events and programs to celebrate this momentous occasion.

The Colonial Theater Centennial Exhibition will be on view in the Carr Gallery at the Willard Arts Center from November 16, 2019 through January 5, 2020. This exhibition will celebrate artistic interpretations of the Colonial Theater. IFAC is seeking both existing and new work in all mediums that depicts or is inspired by any part of the Colonial Theater (exterior, interior, front-of-house, backstage, etc.). The IFAC Visual Arts Director together with the Centennial Exhibition committee will select the works to be included in the exhibition. This exhibition will be seen by thousands of visitors to the Willard Arts Center and Colonial Theater. There are no cash prizes, but IFAC may elect to purchase works from the exhibition for its permanent collection.
