About the Exhibition

The Idaho Falls National Exhibition is an annual juried exhibition by the Idaho Falls Arts Council and exhibited at the Willard Arts Center in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Artists working in all mediums throughout the United States are invited to submit. This is an open show with no geographic boundaries.

  • Over 5,000 people visit the exhibition each year
  • Exhibition artworks are included in a full color catalogue and on the IFAC's website
  • The People's Choice winner is featured on all promotional materials for the next year


Artists may submit up to three artworks and should include one JPEG image of each artwork.The completed entry form, images, and entry fee must all be received by January 17, 2018.

  2. Send JPEG images of your submissions by mail or email.
    • By mail on a CD or USB Drive to Georgina Goodlander, Idaho Falls Arts Council, 498 A Street, Idaho Falls, ID 83402. Include a stamped addressed envelope if you wish to receive notification by mail, otherwise it will be emailed.

Important Dates

  • Wednesday, January 17 - Entries Due
  • Friday, February 16 - Notification of Accepted Artwork
  • Monday, March 12 - Accepted Artwork Due at the Willard Arts Center
  • Thursday, March 15 - Opening Reception and Awards Announcement
  • Monday, June 4 - Local Artwork Pick-up
  • Wednesday, June 6 - Artwork Returned by Mail

Important Rules

  • Submissions can be made by email or mail (see above). Images must be JPEG and at least 300DPI
  • Entry fee is $35,  you can include a check with your entry or pay online
  • Artwork must have been created within the last three years and not been previously exhibited at the Willard Arts Center
  • Artists must be at least 14 years of age
  • Artists have the option of selling their artwork. Please note IFAC retains a 35% commission on all sales
  • Materials submitted with entries (CDs, USB drives) cannot be returned

2018 Juror

Laura Ahola-Young

Laura Ahola-Young received her MFA from San Jose State University in 2001. She currently resides in Pocatello, Idaho where she is an Assistant Professor of Art at Idaho State University. Originially from northern  Minnesota, Laura had been influenced by landscapes, winters, ice, and resilience. She is currently developing work that incorporates scientific research, the Pacific Northwest, and personal narrative.
