About the Exhibition

The Idaho Falls National Exhibition is an annual juried exhibition by the Idaho Falls Arts Council and exhibited at the Willard Arts Center in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Artists working in all mediums throughout the United States are invited to submit. This is an open show with no geographic boundaries.

Submissions closed January 20, 2021


  • First Place - $750*
  • Second Place - $500

  • Curator's Choice - $125
  • Honorable Mentions
  • People's Choice - Winner featured on all promotional materials for the next year.

*Please note that we will be required to send 1099s for all prizes over $600.


  • Over 5,000 people visit the exhibition each year
  • Exhibition artworks are included in a full color catalogue and on the IFAC's website
  • The People's Choice award winner is featured on all promotional materials for the next year


Artists may submit up to three artworks and should include one JPEG image of each artwork. You may enter online or by mail; an entry form must be filled out and must be received along with the JPEG submissions by January 20. You will be notified by email unless you include a stamped self-addressed envelope with your submission.

Important Dates

  • Wednesday, January 20 - Entries Due
  • Friday, February 19 - Acceptance Notification
  • Monday, March 15 - Accepted Artwork Due at the Willard Arts Center
  • Thursday, March 18 - Opening Reception and Awards Announcement
  • Monday, My 31 - Local Artwork Pick-up
  • Wednesday, June 2 - Mailed Artwork Shipped

Important Rules

  • Submissions can be made online or by mail (see above). Images must be JPEG and at least 300DPI. Files submitted online must be less than 3MB. Please name all images with the convention LastName_ArtworkTitle. 
  • Entry fee is $35. If submitting online, please pay through the form. If mailing, please include a check with your entry or call the office at 208-522-0471
  • Artwork must have been created within the last three years and not been previously exhibited at the Willard Arts Center
  • Artists must be at least 14 years of age or older
  • Artists have the option of selling their artwork. Please note IFAC retains a 35% commission on all sales
  • Materials submitted with entries (CDs, USB drives) cannot be returned

2021 Juror

Christopher Hull

Christopher Hull lives in Idaho Falls with his wife of 12 years, and 3 children.  He has worked with The Art Museum of Eastern Idaho to educate Idaho’s youth, which is where he discovered his passion for teaching.  He has been an Art Educator in Idaho Falls for 5 years; teaching drawing, painting, and digital media.  He is a member of the Elementary Art Committee that has been responsible for ensuring art education in Idaho District 91’s elementary schools.  Recently, he earned the Art Teacher of the Year Award from the Idaho Art Educators Association.

Christopher’s personal work is primarily Lowbrow based; working in mediums of pen and ink, paints, and digital media.  Pop culture and the existentialist absurd drive his creative spirit.
