Saltgrass Printmakers
May 8 - July 4, 2009

Opening reception begins at 7pm on Saurday, May 9.
Saltgrass Printmakers is a non-profit printmaking studio located in Salt Lake City. The facility offers member artists access to printmaking equipment that might otherwise be cost-prohibitive on an individual basis.  This exhibit features the work of its 2 founders, Stefanie Dykes and Sandy Brunvand, along with a selection of work from other association members. A number of printmaking processes will be on display.

Beyond Expectations
The photographic works of Joy Reyneke and Blake Fitch
July 9 - September 5, 2009

The photographic works of Joy Reyneke and Blake Fitch cross paths at the intersection of human experience.   Ms. Reyneke’s images of life in Nicaragua soon after hurricane Felix and Ms. Fitch’s visual documentation of a northeastern American girl’s adolescence may seem worlds apart in subject matter, but resonate in terms of substance. Their work provides evidence that a broad spectrum of emotion can be experienced in a variety of circumstances.
Sponsored by: Joan Wingerson, honored and respected by her son Eric Wingerson

Doug Braithwaite and Brad Slaugh
Sept 12 – Nov 7, 2009

Longtime friends, Doug Braithwaite and Brad Slaugh team up to provide a colorful and engaging exhibit at the Carr Gallery. Mr. Braithwaite’s strong, directional brushstrokes bring great energy to his colorful, contemporary landscapes while Mr. Slaugh’s viscous paint quality lends itself to large narrative figure paintings that appeal to the slight “irreality” in all of us.
