The Willard Arts Center features a beautiful art gallery showcasing regional to international talent, a children’s art gallery, art classes, and the renovated 988-seat historic Colonial Theater, which offers Broadway musicals, country western, jazz, clasical, world, and pop music, as well as family theater. It is owned and operated by the Idaho Falls Arts Council, a private non-profit organization.
IIn the summer don’t miss our free summer concerts on the Snake River Greenbelt every Tuesday night at 7 pm, and The Snake River Roaring Youth Jam, a three-day children’s art festival the second weekend in August.

Visitors to the Art Museum of Eastern Idaho (TAM) are welcomed at the front entrance by the stunning public sculpture Eternal Momentum by Idaho artist Mark Stasz… and that’s just the beginning! Art exhibits by Idaho artists as well as artists of national and international stature are featured throughout the year. TAM is home to the nationally recognized ARTworks art education program that places highly qualified art teachers in classrooms throughout eastern Idaho.
A Must See: TAM’s gift shop offers exquisite jewelry, hand-woven baskets, cards, art books and other one-of-a-kind gifts. The friendly staff and volunteers help make the TAM experience a memorable one!

Since its inception 25 years ago, Actors’ Repertory Theatre of Idaho (ARTI) has offered a yearly slate of plays ranging from established classics to cutting-edge comedy and drama from contemporary playwrights. Recent ARTI season have included The Laramie Project, Steel Magnolias, and Jake’s Women.

With a collection that exceeds 260,000, the Idaho Falls Public Library serves the community with a variety of up-to-date resources, along with programs and events for children, teens and adults. The library also features an artrium, gold fish pond, and Sister City Garden located in the middle of the building.

Founded in 1949, the Idaho Falls Symphony is a flagship of cultural life in eastern Idaho. The orchestra today consists of approximately 100 amateur and professional musicians. The orchestra performs approximately eight subscription concerts per year and additional concerts throughout the region. The Idaho Falls Symphony supports, sponsors, and promotes the Eastern Idaho Youth Symphony.

IDAHO FALLS YOUTH SYMPHONY is made up of 9th through 12th graders, is governed by the Idaho Falls Symphony, and is dedicated to the education of Eastern Idaho’s youth through music. Contact David Burger, 523-1364.

The Museum of Idaho entertains and educates visitors from all over the world. Nationally acclaimed exhibitions such as A T-Rex Names Sue, World of the Pharaohs and Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition provide educational and cultural opportunity for adults and children alike. The museum also features several permanent exhibits, including an interactive Children’s Discovery Room, that hightlights local and regional Idaho history. The Museum of Idaho enhances the lives of children and adults by offering a variety of innovative, participatory and educational programs throughout the year.

PUBLIC ART

Art You Can Sit On: 32 public benches created by artists out of a
variety of materials and depicting everything from trout to skateboards
are placed throughout the historic downtown.

Taylor’s Crossing: east side of the Snake River, just south of the intersection of River Parkway and Broadway.  This is a full scale replica of the first bridge to carry settlers across the Snake River in Eagle Rock (since renamed Idaho Falls).

Fur Trapper: median intersection of Memorial and B Street. Artist Roy Reynolds has created a beautiful larger than life bronze sculpture.

Sister City Japanese Garden: located on the west side of the Snake River, just east of the Broadway Bridge, celebrating Idaho Falls “sister city” Tokai-mura, Japan.

Where the Red Fern Grows: front lawn of Public Library, 457 Broadway. This life sized bronze by artist Marilyn Hansen is based on the classic children’s book.
