About the Artist

"My work is centered in celebration of the outdoor world and how the fiber within that world is acted upon by various elements."

Erin Tapley is currently a professor in the School of Art and Design at Western Carolina University. On top of her teaching duties, she is also the program coordinator for undergraduate BSEd and BFA degrees and MAED/MAT degree programs.

Erin was raised in rural Connecticut by feral squirrels. Her favorite color this year is dusty purple, and her favorite food is rice. Under the definition of “Crazy Plant Lady,” you will find her photo and life’s long work.

Her love language is berry picking.
