2026 Juror

Yidan Guo

Yidan Guo (NWS, NWWS, IWS) is a professional artist and educator whose practice explores the human experience through the lens of migration and resilience. Her own transformative journey—leaving a professorship in China to rebuild her life in the United States in 2013—deeply informs her work. Over the past five years, Guo has developed an ongoing project that amplifies the voices of immigrant and refugee women, interweaving narratives of displacement with universal threads of endurance and hope through collaborative storytelling.

Guo holds an MFA from Idaho State University (2024), a Master of Philosophy in Esthetics from Renmin University of China, and a BFA from the China Central Academy of Fine Arts. She has taught at Renmin University, Southern Utah University, and Idaho State University.

Her work has been featured in eleven solo exhibitions across China and the United States and has earned numerous awards in national and international juried exhibitions. Guo’s paintings are included in institutional and private collections worldwide, including the China Central Academy of Fine Arts, the Chinese Artists Association, Southern Utah University, the University of Missouri–Kansas City Foundation, and the Northwest Watercolor Society.
